Send a request ID
Email contact@youtranscripts.com and include the request ID shown by the product, the error category, browser/device, interface language, and what you expected to happen. Request IDs are references for investigation; they do not contain your transcript or password.
What to include by issue
- Transcript: video URL if needed, error text, source language, and whether retrying changes the result.
- Summary: selected mode, account email, request ID, and whether the summary was queued, failed, or returned incorrectly.
- Account/email: sign-in method, approximate time, and the email address used. Never send a one-time code or reset link.
- Privacy: identify the access, correction, export, or deletion request and send it from the account email where possible.
- Fair usage: include the user-safe message and request ID; we can review an apparent mistake without publishing internal thresholds.
Known issues and recovery
Check the status page for confirmed notices. Retry only when the product offers a retry, avoid repeated automated requests, and try a different valid source if the issue is specific to one video. If you suspect a security problem, use the private security reporting process.
Do not send
Never email passwords, sign-in codes, session cookies, API keys, service-role keys, private database exports, or other credentials. Remove unrelated personal information and confidential source text from screenshots and attachments.
